PM1208 incorporates a sensitive Geiger-Muller based gamma detector and a stylish wristwatch, combining a leading edge dosimeter technology with Swiss tradition of the watch making. An audible alarm alerts the user when a potential radiation hazard exceeds adjustable radiation threshold levels. The instrument contains non-volatile memory to keep the measured data until they are downloaded to a PC by means of built-in IR interface.
The Swiss-made RONDA 763 with quartz movement ensures the reliability and accuracy of the watch operation. The waterproof steel case enables the use of the instrument on the depths up to 100 meters (328 feet). Wrist Dosimeter also has an electroluminescent backlight, which allows it to operate in the dark. The PM1208M requires minimum power consumption and operates continuously for one year from one CR2032 battery.
PM1208M dosimeter performs continuous monitoring and measuring of the ambient gamma dose and dose rate, alerts the user of hazardous situations with an audible alarm, records and stores data for up to 500 events in its non-volatile memory, transmits all recorded data via an infrared channel to a PC for further processing and analysis.
Polimaster recommends the PM1208M Wrist Gamma Dosimeter to frequent airplane travellers for monitoring of their radiation exposure and for everyone, who cares about their personal radiation safety.
