Gamma Radiation Detector BDG3 for PM1403

Gamma radiation detector BDG3 performs the following functions: measurement of dose equivalent rate (DER) of X-ray and gamma radiation, search for the photon radiation sources, registration and accumulation of photon radiation scintillation spectra.

BDG3 can be used by emergency services, radiological and isotope laboratories, customs and border services, nuclear industry facilities, to search, detect and localize radioactive and nuclear sources and prevent illicit trafficking of radioactive and nuclear materials.

Operation Principle

BDG3 is connected to the Spectroscopic Radiation Monitor PM1403, Display and Control Unit РМ1403 and Display and Control Unit РМ1403-01 or a PC via RS-485 or USB. Operation algorithm enables continuous measurement process, processing of the measurement results and quick adaptation to radiation intensity changes. In the programming mode BDG3 enables recording of data into the non-volatile memory, continuous control over the DER threshold level, sound/visual alarm if the set DER level is detected or exceeded.

  • identification of the radionuclide matter composition
  • programming of the operation modes
